Chiara Imperato, Ph.D., is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Parma, Italy. She obtained her Ph.D. in May 2022 discussing her thesis focused on the identity processes involved in intergroup contact occurring in online environments, winning a grant from the Italian Association of Psychology (AIP). She is involved in several studies and projects on online intergroup relations, online prejudice and discrimination, and the impact of online environments on individuals’ well-being. She is also interested in the benefits of games and videogames in terms of intergroup relations, and the identity processes involved.
